 Contents

To train engineers who will promote longevity in the residents of their native Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos, this program will motivate participants to study further in Japan, where they will have access to instruction in advanced science and technology. This spring school provides lectures and practicums in biotechnology and information engineering which will enable participants to contribute to dietary improvements among people in their countries.

Using biotechnology, participants will analyze and evaluate foodstuff nutrient content, bioavailability and absorption potential. Using information engineering, they will construct agricultural management systems. Additionally, participants will visit some of Japan’s most advanced companies in these fields, experience Japanese traditional culture and interact with Japanese students.
